SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS LZX will run on an Amiga with any 680x0 CPU and AmigaDOS 1.2 or later, although it prefers AmigaDOS Release 2 or later. If running on AmigaDOS 1.2 or 1.3, LZX will attempt to open arp.library to emulate functionality missing from the early versions of AmigaDOS; if arp.library is then not available, some functionality will be missing from LZX. By default, LZX requires approximately 500K of RAM to archive files, and this includes the size of the LZX executable and the stack. To decompress files, LZX requires approximately 175K of RAM, and this also includes the size of the LZX executable and the stack. LZX's command line options allow it to be configured to use less memory , however. Three versions of LZX are provided, to support the 6 different CPU's in the Motorola 680x0 series. Each version has been hand-crafted to provide optimal performance for two particular CPUs. More CPU Info
